Singer-songwriter and activist Joseph Redsure is increasingly making his mark beyond the
stage, contributing to major European policy conversations as a Mental Health Ambassador
for the “Do You Mind?” project. In Brussels, he recently took part in a series of high-level
events, offering a consistent perspective: mental health must be central to Europe’s future.
At the EU Preparedness Conference, which gathered policymakers, crisis experts, and civil
protection leaders, Redsure attended as part of a broader dialogue on resilience. His
contribution emphasized that preparedness is not only about infrastructure and response
systems, but also about psychological readiness and community well-being.
During #CivilSocietyWeek, organised by the European Economic and Social Committee, he
joined a wide network of civil society actors, institutions, and citizens shaping Europe’s social
agenda. Here, Redsure reinforced the importance of including mental health in discussions
on democracy, participation, and social cohesion.
He also attended the high-level roundtable hosted by the The Lisbon Council at the
Residence Palace, focused on youth leadership and the fight against cyberbullying. In this
setting, his presence highlighted the strong link between digital environments and mental
health, particularly for younger generations navigating online spaces.
Finally, at the GreenTales Final Conference, which explored storytelling as a tool for
sustainability and climate engagement, Redsure contributed to conversations connecting
environmental action with emotional and social resilience.
Across all these events, Joseph Redsure’s role remained consistent: an engaged attendee
bringing a human-centered, mental health perspective into complex European discussions.
His presence reflects a growing recognition that well-being is not a side issue—but a
foundational element of policy, participation, and progress.
