Empathy By Leafu Alexandra

Empathy is a heavy word, one that many of us speak
without fully feeling its weight. Dictionaries define empathy
as “the ability to understand and share the feelings of
another,” yet understanding is rarely simple. How often do
we truly stop and try to see another person, not as they
appear, but as they are? To sit with what they are going
through, without judgment, without the urge to compare or
explain it away? For me, empathy is not imitation, but
resonance, an echo of another person’s inner world,
shaped and softened by my own experiences.
